Account Manager

Trainer Communications is seeking an enthusiastic, high-energy, self-motivated, and resourceful Account Manager who enjoys emerging technology to join our team in Pleasanton, CA headquarters.

This account manager position is “client facing,” and the candidate must be able to run projects but not necessarily accounts. The key skill is the ability to work the media, analysts, and customers that may be associated with our clients. 

Job Description:

  • Support account lead and run PR programs as required (could include editorial and speaking programs, press & analyst tours, event and customerupport, etc.)
  • Book and support media and analyst tours to specifications, based on client requirements.
  • Follow up with media and analysts from a launch to ensure results are secured.
  • Develop and/or review editorial and speaking calendars, and provide support for associated programs, including pitching and supporting press and analyst interviews, pitching and securing speaker placements, etc.
  • Develop press releases, media alerts, abstracts, and bios. 
  • Research media and analysts lists.
  • Monitor for client media/analyst coverage, as well as competitive/market landscape and support weekly and monthly reporting to clients.
  • Collaborate with account lead on a regular basis, participate in weekly client calls/meetings, and support PR program planning and strategy. 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • 2-5years of experience working in public relations or marketing communications with a technology emphasis.
  • Professional relationships with technology media and industry analysts preferred.
  • Domain expertise in data storage or wireless/networking/telecom a plus.
  • Social media experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and PR-related industry services a plus.
