Ross Perich

Vice President of Client Operations

ross@trainercomm.com

A former award-winning journalist, Ross Perich brings nearly 20 years’ experience as a television anchor and reporter, project manager, marcom director, and public relations professional to his current role as Trainer’s Vice President of Client Operations.

Ross put his gift of gab to work when he ventured into the world of TV broadcasting in the ’80s. His anchoring and reporting career took him to Colorado and Washington before he landed back home in the Bay Area in 1994, working as a producer for KTVU-FOX.

Breaking the gender barrier in 2000 when he became the first male to join the Trainer team, Ross was appointed vice president of Trainer Communications in 2006. Ross leads and manages multiple client relationships and is responsible for customer satisfaction and setting the quality standards of the company.

Amidst juggling management responsibilities, Ross still enjoys dabbling in PR work where his broadcast experience has proven invaluable as he always “thinks like a reporter,” offering creative angles that inevitably result in national coverage — his clients have enjoyed two pages in The New York Times and two minutes on ABC’s World News Tonight. To satisfy his insatiable passion for video, Ross also produces customer testimonial videos for Trainer clients. He brings extensive domain expertise in enterprise software, supply chain, RFID, and wireless-based applications to Trainer, gained from his work with clients such as Edge Dynamics, G-Log, IPWireless, Itronix, Notiva, Peakstone, Velosel, Vivato, and WhereNet.

  • What's your lifelong dream? Watching my Cal Bears in the Rose Bowl (at least once in my lifetime)
  • Favorite past-time? People watching in foreign countries (culture trumps musems while on vacation).
  • How would you describe nirvana? Mai tais in Maui with my family.
  • Did you know? That Ross had "surfer hair" in college and didn't own a brush for about six years.
